A sneaky evening out with Fred and his lady friend. We introduced them to the magic of the wool pack. Joy.
Oh that little Hannah Bear provides us with plenty of amusement.
She seems to say and understand much more than Isaiah did at her age. Might be the whole/girl thing… or perhaps he is a little slow… probably the boy/girl thing.
Even though it’s ‘dark’ when we wake in the morning, Hannah is a little ray of ‘light’ (see what I’ve done there…)
When you go into greet her in the morning she stands up in the cot calling ‘Up-a-dee! Up-a-dee!’
As soon as she is in your arms it’s, ‘How bout (kind of said as one word) breaky?’
‘Ok, Hannah’
‘How bout cereal?’
‘Sure you can have cereal.’
‘How bout milk?’
‘Yes you can have milk’
Food is pretty much her number one interest.
Her other routine is to ask for mandys (mandarines) about 15 times a day. I don’t why she is so obsessed. She would prefer mandys to anything else. Lollies, chips, biscuits? No thanks. Another mandy will do her just fine.
As soon as she finishes one she is asking for another.
Crazy little girl.
The video above gives you a little sample… once she get’s over saying ‘cheese’ for the camera that is.

Well, here I am 2 days out from departing for France.
Holy sausages.
Jo wanted me to ‘share’ her blog, but I could see early on that this would just end in tears. I dare say our styles and definitions of ‘appropriate’ vary drastically.
I had my last day of work on Friday. Got a bit over being asked…
“Where are you living?”
“How do you feel?”
“Are you working?”
“Where are you going to visit?”
“How much French do you know?”
“Is Tony Story as bush as legend suggests?”
Anyway, I guess it’s better than people not taking a interest. I better get use to it. I’ll keep a running tally on how many times we have to explain where “Wollongong” is.
Friday felt like a normal end of term. Didn’t feel sad, didn’t feel super excited. Guess after working for the last 11 years it’s hard to image kicking around in a foreign country for 10 months.
As I write this I think my excitement level has risen a touch. Yeeesssssss.
